A lovely regular customer of ours has transformed her stunning large farmhouse into a modern kitchen haven.

We were asked to create a dramatic statement window in her luxuriant kitchen. She opted for a set of roman blinds behind a set of dress curtains and finished off with a bespoke pelmet all fitted to sit in the window perfectly.

We absolutely love the modern, grey timeless decor in this home so the fabric needed to be striking, sophisticated and versatile. The customer opted for a pain grey in the romans, then chose a contemporary woven honeycomb design fabric from Iliv with the curtains and pelmet.

To add glamour and a dramatic, opulent look, we added 4 inches of fabric to pool on the floor which we designed to sit in the natural pleats of the curtain. The finished floor-to-ceiling curtains with pelmets accentuate the height of the room and add to the dramatic look and elegance.

We love floor to ceiling curtains – they make rooms appear larger and are a picturesque way to highlight tall ceilings!

We are delighted to see that pelmets are making a comeback in the world of interior decor. However for us, they never really went out of style! This is because they are not only very practical by offering clever styling solutions to a room, but they also add individuality and can transform a room. Note, as we make all our wooden pelmets in our workshop here in Cornhill, this means we really can do any size, shape or style – like the shape of this ceiling.
