Luxury Window Treatments: Bespoke Curtains, Blinds & Pelmets

Curtains: Made-to-measure in Ashley Wilde fabric, fully padded and pleated

“It looks like The Ritz!” That was the glowing feedback from our client after we helped finish their Luxury Master Bedroom.
At Interior Inspirations, based in Cornhill, we recently completed this elegant window dressing project for a large bedroom with peaceful countryside views. As a result, the room now has a luxurious, hotel-inspired finish with custom detailing throughout.
Elegant Curtains
The main window was a dramatic feature, dressed with bespoke curtains crafted from Ashley Wilde fabric. We used an incredible 56.5 meters of fabric in total throughout the room!
Each curtain panel was made to measure, with four widths of fabric per half of the window, creating a truly grand finish. The curtains were also fully lined with a premium padded blackout lining—perfect for enhancing insulation, blocking light, and adding body to the drape.
For the heading, our client wanted something different so they chose an inverted pleat style. This structured, tailored look is currently trending across France and adds a touch of understated, continental elegance to the room.
Bespoke Pelmet
To frame the window, we designed a handcrafted pelmet, custom-built in our workshop. Importantly, the pelmet was tailored to fit precisely around the room’s original cornicing, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with the roof.
We finished the curtains with traditional rope tiebacks and ornate tassels, adding timeless charm and a classical flourish.
Discreet Blinds
For extra versatility, we installed roller blinds behind the curtains. These were paired with a Cova pelmet, colour-matched to the walls to ensure the blind remains hidden when raised. As a result, the overall look remains clean, balanced, and refined.
Inspired by the Feature Headboard
The room’s standout headboard served as our design inspiration. Upholstered in soft tones and rich textures, and detailed with gold studs, it set the tone for the entire scheme. Therefore, we carefully selected all fabrics and trims to complement this centrepiece and bring a cohesive, luxurious feel to the space.
We hand-punched the studs into the pelmet,
gorgeously matching the beds headboard!
